Refreshing Infused Water With Fruit And Herbs
Updated: Apr 27, 2021
Spring is here and so are the warmer days filled with sun and Vit D!
Also, with spring we are feeling more inspired to incorporate healthy recipes to freshen ourselves up. Especially during warm days, hydration is a must!
Hydration helps maximize physical performance. Have you noticed that when you are dehydrated you are feeling tired and it is more tough to move your body and getting your exercise done? Science says that losing as little as 2% of your body’s water content can significantly impair your physical performance.
Your brain is also affected by hydration. So, it is important that you properly hydrate yourself when studying or working. It affects both mood and concentration. If you wanna have fresh ideas and to use your full brain capacity - drink up more water! It also can save you from headaches.
Giving the benefits of hydration, I am giving you a recipe that I do very often, it is colorful, loaded on vitamins, you can change the taste - and If it is hard for you to drink more water (like myself), this trick will make it easier to drink more water.
Daily recommendations: The Institute of Medicine recommends that men drink 13 cups of water, women drink nine cups of water, children and teens drink six to eight cups and pregnant women drink ten cups of fluids daily. While exercising, it is recommended that you drink eight ounces of water every 15 minutes and 16 to 24 ounces after exercise. You can also get water from fresh fruits and vegetables, so it is ideal to eat a good portion of them daily. A good rule of thumb to remember is that you should intake about one to three cups of fruits and vegetables a day.

Here goes my recipe. You will need:
1L bottle of water
Cup or raspberries (you can use raspberries, strawberries)
2 slices of ginger
Mint (basilica, spearmint, rosemary)
2 slices of lemon (orange)
You put this ingredients into the bottle with water. And there is your refreshing infused water with fruit and herbs. You can try experiment with the fruits you do like and also different kinds of herbs. Benefits of water plus benefits of fruits and herbs.
Write me in comments what is your favourite combination!
Cheers.
